All About Hypersomnia

Congress 2026

Kimpton Palomar | Phoenix, Arizona

October 9th - 10th, 2026

The All about Hypersomina Congress will provide a comprehensive update on the diagnosis, management, and emerging science of central disorders of hypersomnolence, including narcolepsy and idiopathic hypersomnia. Bringing together leading sleep specialists, researchers, and multidisciplinary experts, the congress will explore practical clinical strategies, evolving therapeutics, comorbidities, and future innovations—while fostering collaboration, discussion, and networking across the sleep medicine community.

The All About Hypersomnia Congress 2026 is a two-day live educational meeting dedicated to advancing the recognition, diagnosis, and management of central disorders of hypersomnolence, including narcolepsy and idiopathic hypersomnia. Designed for sleep physicians, fellows, neurologists, sleep technologists, and allied healthcare professionals, the congress will explore the evolving clinical and scientific landscape of hypersomnia medicine.

Through expert-led presentations, interactive panel discussions, and real-world case studies, the program will examine diagnostic complexity, sleep inertia, autonomic dysfunction, wearable technologies, mental health comorbidities, and emerging therapeutic strategies—including the future of orexin-targeted therapies. The congress is designed to translate emerging evidence into practical, clinically relevant approaches that can be implemented immediately in everyday practice.

Overview

  • Central disorders of hypersomnolence are frequently under-recognised and associated with significant delays in diagnosis.

  • Symptoms such as excessive daytime sleepiness and sleep inertia are often mischaracterised or attributed to other conditions.

  • Narcolepsy and idiopathic hypersomnia can significantly impact quality of life, mental health, education, and employment.

  • Advances in diagnostics, wearable technology, and emerging therapies are rapidly transforming hypersomnia care.
